29th International Steamdays 2010
May 22nd, May 23
rd and May 24th

The board and the members of the Stoomgroep Turnhout vzw are honoured to invite you to take part in their 29th International Steam Meeting, to be held on the Whitsun weekend of May 22nd, May 23rd and May 24th, on the rail tracks in the Park Grounds of Turnhout (North-Belgium).

The success of this venture not only relies on the good intentions of the organising club and the sunny days expected, but more specifically on the engagement of the many participants.

If you wish to participate, please complete the entrance form and return it asap and before April 30th, so that we can take necessary arrangements concerning meals, drinks, sleeping accommodations etc.

Every modeller is invited to take part in the exhibition with his model(s), whatever their state and/or to run his locomotive or engine (7 ¼” or 5”) on our ground tracks or even on the indoor table-railway*. Every owner of a steam engine needs to show a valid boiler certificate.

Everyone who takes part in the exhibition or who participates with a running engine is called a ‘participant’ and receives without any payment : lunch, tea-time, tickets for free drinks, badge, as well as water, fuel, lubricants and safe-keeping of materials during the night.

Everyone who comes with the participant is called 'companion' and can get a lunch, tea-time, tickets for free drinks and a badge, at a moderate price.

On Saturday- and Sunday-evening a substantial meal (at moderate price) is planned in a nearby diner-room.

Reservations for the night can be asked at the Turnhout Tourist Board at tel. 014/44.33.55 or fax 014/44.33.54, or can be looked-up on the internet at this website : http://www.landvanturnhout.be/test-logies2.htm . There are a number of good hotels and campsites in Turnhout and the surroundings. Campers can also use the grounds, rented by our organisation, nearby the park. If applicable please give information on the registration form.
